OK so I hear you ask. "What have
Call of Duty and Lamb Curry got in common"? Well Call of Duty is my favourite game series ever, and the Lamb Curry recipe posted is the best Curry recipe I've ever tasted. A great recipe to freeze and if your looking for something quick and easy to cook whilst playing Call of Duty. This is just the ticket. I take no credit for this recipe. The credit goes to the
Karachi Restaurant in Bradford.
For curry's, this is as good as it gets in my opinion.
Heres what you need
250g (9oz) Ghee/Clarified Butter (ASDA Sell it)
3 tablespoons Fresh Coriander (chopped)
65g (2 1/2oz) Garlic
1 tablespoon Ground Turmeric
1 tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
350g (12oz) Fresh Spinach washed with large stalks removed
1 tablespoon Ground Cumin
4 medium sized Green Chillies with stalks removed
1tablespoon Paprika
½ tablespoon Garam Masala
550g (1 1/4lb) Onions Chopped
1 x 400g (140z) Can Chopped Toms
50g (2oz) Fresh Ginger, peeled and chopped
1 tablespoon Salt
900g (2lb) Boneless leg or shoulder of Lamb (1½ in) cubes
1 tablespoon Ground Coriander
120ml (4fl oz) water
Here's what to do
1. Heat the ghee in a large, heavy based pan. Add the
onions and cook over a medium heat, stirring now and then, for 20
minutes until they are soft and a light brown
2. Put the tomatoes, water, ginger and garlic into a liquidizer and
blend until smooth. Remove the fried onions with a slotted spoon, add
them to the paste and blend briefly until smooth.
3. Return the puree to the ghee left in the pan and add the lamb and
salt. Simmer for 30 minutes, by which time the lamb will be half cooked
and the sauce will be well reduced. Stir in the turmeric, chilli
powder, cumin, paprika and ground coriander and continue to cook for
30-45 minutes for shoulder or 45-1 hour for leg, until the lamb is
tender, adding a little water now and then if the sauce starts to stick.
4. Meanwhile, put 175g (6oz) of the spinach leaves into a large pan and
cook until it has wilted down into the bottom of the pan. Cook for 1
minute, then transfer to the rinsed out liquidizer and blend to a
smooth puree. Set aside. Rinse out the liquidiser again and add the
green chillies and 2-3 tablespoons of water and blend until smooth. Set
aside.
5. When the lamb is cooked, there should be a layer of ghee floating on
the top of the curry. You can either skim it off or leave it there,
whichever you prefer (LEAVE IT). Then stir in the spinach puree and the
remaining spinach leaves and cook for 2 minutes.
6. Now taste the curry and add as much green chilli puree as you wish,
according to how hot you like your curries (ALL OF IT). Simmer for 2
minutes more.
7. Stir in the fresh coriander and Garam Masala. Transfer the curry to
a serving dish and sprinkle with a little more ground cumin and some
freshly ground black pepper just before you take it to the table.

Here's another easy Recipe to cook if you want to prepare food in advance. This is so easy I'm not going to put weights down. I've made this this morning so Maria can take some to work and I have something quick and easy to reheat after I've finished playing on our
Call of Duty 4 Server Here's what you need.
Enough cold cooked white rice for 2.
1tsp of grated ginger
1 clove of garlic crushed.
A big handful of frozen pea's defrosted in a bowl of hot water.
1 egg. Make this into a small omelette and cut into strips.
2tbps of light soy sauce.
12 raw tiger prawns.
4 slices of Ham cut into strips.
Here's what to do Heat 1tbp of veg oil in your wok or frying pan.
Fry the garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
Add the peas, Ham and prawns and cook for 2 mins.
Add the soy sauce and rice and cook for another 2mins.
Mix in the omelette strips and cook for another 1 minute.
Serve immediately or leave to cool and reheat later. I will be having this with some Prawn cakes and chilli dipping sauce. I will give you the recipe for the Prawn Cakes later when I have made them.

I've not had much chance to play
Call of Duty 4 recently. So I've pre-made our evening meal for when Maria gets home from work. Which means I can be on our
Call of Duty 4 Server 85.236.103.10:28960 for about 6:30pm. We will have this with some mini jacket potato's and Ciabata Bread.
This is also a very low fat Meal.What you will need. (serves 2) Just double the quantity's for more people.
175g diced lean pork.
1 onion chopped
200g chopped tom's
75ml Red wine
1/2 teaspoon tom purée
75ml of chicken stock
1-2 courgettes in thick slices
125g chestnut mushrooms halved
1tsp of dried mixed herbs
1tsp of chopped fresh sage. (from my herb garden) Use half if you've' only got dried.
1tsp of cornflour mixed with 1/2tsp water.
Salt and Pepper.
Here's what to do.Dry fry the pork with the onion for 5mins
Stir in the Tom's, wine, purée, stock, courgette and mushrooms. And all the herbs.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 20min's..
Stir in the cornflour paste.
Simmer uncovered for a few minutes to thicken the sauce.
Season to taste

I made these yesterday before going to watch Sheffield United. A great Low fat, high energy, easy to make snack bar. Also very good for quick easy snack's whilst gaming. Try making some if you have an evening of
Call of Duty 4 planned.
Banana oat bars.
low fat spray (veg oil will do)
100g porridge oats
2 tblsp granulated artificial sweetener. (I used normal granulated Sugar).
1/2 tsp cream tartar (Don't confuse this with tartar sauce)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 ripe bananas mashed
2 medium eggs, separated
150g low fat plain yogurt
*Preheat oven to gas mark 4/180/fan oven 160
*Lightly grease a 20cm (8inch) sq cake tin with spray and line with baking parchment
*Reserve 1tblsp of oats then whiz the rest to a powder in food processor.
*Mix with sweetener, cream of tartar & cinnamon, then add mashed bananas, egg yolks and yoghurt
*In separate bowl whisk egg whites to soft peaks.
*Stir in spoonful of banana oat batter to loosen it then carefully fold in remainder
*Pour into the prepared tin and scatter with reserved oats
*Bake on the centre shelf of the oven for 30min until firm and springy. Cool in tin, set on wire rack.
*Cut into ten slices and store in airtight container or wrap individual bars in cling film and freeze.

One of our regular public players who plays on our
Call Of Duty 4 Server (85.236.103.10:28960) asked if I had a good recipe that uses Mince. This was my recipe I posted for Him in our
Soggy's Cookbook: Simple and Tasty Forum.If you have a Recipe that's Quick and Easy to make come and post in our
Forums.
Minced Beef Keema
4 tablespoon Oil.
1 Chopped onions.
2 Crushed garlic cloves.
3 teaspoon Grated ginger
1or2 tablespoon Curry powder
500g Minced beef
1 Bay leaf (From my Herb Garden)..
400g Tinned chopped tomatoes
Handful of frozen Peas.....or what ever you like really.
Salt
Ground black pepper
Here's How to Do It.1. Heat the oil in a heavy based saucepan. Fry the onions, garlic and
ginger for 3-4 minutes over a medium heat then stir in the curry
powder. Fry for another minute. 2. Add the minced beef, increase the
heat and cook until browned, stirring occasionnaly. Add the bay leaf
and tomatoes. Stir well and simmer for 45-55 minutes. 5 mins from the
end add frozen garden peas....Season and remove bay leaf. Scrummy

I wanted to keep you guys in the loop on how the Map Contest is rounding out for all the PC mappers waiting to submit their maps. We had hoped to start accepting submissions by now but regretfully (as typically happens) the legal required participants to be US only which was unacceptable for us. So we’ve been working on making it open to worldwide participants which requires quite a bit more legal / contest rule work due to the different laws and regulations in each country.
We could have launched it and made it US only but I know we have a fantastic worldwide community of mappers that would have got severely screwed if it was that way and I won’t let that happen. So that’s what’s holding things up right now. The good news is submissions should be starting THIS WEEK as we’re in the final stages of chasing down our international legal department. Once we have it all confirmed, I hope to have the submission page linked here for you so you can start sending in your custom maps for the contest.
As for the 1.6 patch which was going through test, we found a critical bug during QA which broke kill cams when playing with mods among other things which put a hold on it and put it back in development. We’re continuing to evaluate it and looking into releasing it when the map pack potentially hits PC. I’ll keep you updated as it progresses, but right now it won’t be coming out anytime soon while we track down this bug.

There was a little bit of information from Fourzerotwo the other day that went relatively unnoticed about the release of the Variety Map Pack for PCs. As you know, the maps were released to Xbox 360s last Friday and the PS3 version is getting closer now that it's in certification at Sony. PCs were in limbo as they dealt with "logistics"; everybody assumed this meant "how do we get money from the PC people for these maps like we do the console folks."
While the PC info is what the government would call "non-specific", it is at least something.
On the PC side of things the Patch is in queue to finish internal QA for release. The Community Mapping Content has come to an end and we’ll be putting out an open call for all the maps you guys have created to be submitted as well as releasing details on the prizing and how the winning maps may be showing up. We have some awesome prizing I’m anxious to finalize and announce to you guys. I’ve been keeping tabs on the Beta / Released maps in the Mapping forums on Infinityward.com and there are some great ones.
In addition to that details are being finalized as to getting the map pack to the PC users as well. I can’t speak specifics just yet as everything is being cemented now, but it sounds like good news.
So, still no firm date and we still don't know the cost. Hopefully they will wise up and make them free like the new maps for TF2 but when you have the #1 FPS for PCs with no real competition in sight why not nickel and dime gamers?

Another nice looking map : Bacalao
Size : medium
The map is a open terrainmap but it is difficult to sniper on it. A lot of plants, trees and palms are hiding the view over the area, the ways to the camps and the middle of the map.

Community member STING is back today with the final version release of another popular BF2 remake map. Check it out:

• 80 hours build time.. 20 of it was for scripting
• 9742 brushes
• 4800+ models
• 6 Emplaced S.A.W machine guns
• 10 breakable walls/doors
• 119 light points
• 25 reflection probes
• 1 tunnel system
Gametypes Supported: All
We have tested the following gametypes running CoD4 version 1.5 with AWE version 1.2 successfully: CTF, HTF, CTFB, DM, WAR (tdm), SD, SAB, KOTH (hq), DOM.
This is the final version. The aim of this project was to bring Karkand to CoD4 with a slightly clean & modern feel. We believe we have accomplished this. We added some "secret" spots & "breachable" areas to allow further access, and there is a tunnel system to enhance the gameplay.

Osiris has released the final version of MP_Vladozkov, this is a large night map with buckets of atmosphere. Looks good. :)
Put the 2 .ff files in your usermaps folder and the mp_vladozkov.iwd file goes in a custom mods folder.
Or make a folder in the usermaps folder called "mp_vladozkov" and place the files in there.
