My personal Review.
This is my personal review of
Medal of Honor Airborne. For the technically minded of you reading this, you wont find any mention of Anti-strophic filtering or anti-aliasing (see I'm not even sure if thats right) or anything about rendering. What you will find is my honest opinions of the game.
So whats my system?
XP Professional
AMD ATHLON XP 3200+
2.2 GHZ
1 GB R.A.M
6800 GS Graphics Card.
First Impressions
After been a big fan of the Medal of Honor series from the beginning on the PS then PS2 my anticipation was very high of what was to come. I even really liked the much ridiculed Pacific Assault. But each to there own i suppose. Although i must say Ive never played any of the MoH games on-line.
Impressions. The load up screen is very impressive although a little slow due to my out dated system. The briefing really sets the seen for things to come and gives you a real good look at what the job in front of you is. I love the detail the Officer giving the briefing goes into. This gives you a feeling of what the real Airborne Guys must have gone through.
Although for re-playing a level, it may be a good idea to give you the option to skip the brief. Only a minor niggle tho.
Weapons Choice
Excellent. Fantastic!!! Try playing the Demo with 2 Rifles it makes it great fun. And really slows your game play down a lot. And will make great practice for when the Multi player is available on Release.
Keep checking here for the Server details of ToC I think all kinds of players from the Machine Gun guys to you Rifle Men will love the choice.

Into the Game
Very very good indeed!! I think you may be getting the idea i like this game? For re-playability for the single player how good is this? In my opinion
FANTASTIC The green flares are the area's you should be landing in. But try landing on the roofs for a great vantage point for picking of a few Italians and raising your skill level with your rifle. Also a great place for dropping a few nades from.
Game Play
I shall keep this short and sweet as i don't have many fancy words to use. Fantastic, awesome, fandabidosi (a favorite saying of a English comedy Duo). Great A1 Intelligence from the Axis. Although i was using my Rifle from a window and turned round and nearly tripped over a Axis soldier who looked like he my have been sniffing my Bum!! Great objectives to complete and some some nice hidden bonuses like the great MoH of Old.
Some great features with the sprint key and been able to lean round corners. The bash key will be a favorite of some players like
Gen Auchinleck and others. Some have said the Rifle is not to accurate. But this improves as you kill more Axis. Very realistic in my opinion. How steady would your aim be after parachuting into a war zone?
The nades are great and the ability to 'cook' them is tremendous and will work so well when the Multiplayer is up and running on-line.
Any faults?
Only with my system. The game slowed down a touch in a couple of places when lots of things were happening. This hasn't been helped with a Gig of my R.A.M dying on me. Apart from that i find the game faultless. And shall be sat on my door step awaiting the Postman in 7 Days time. Oh i shall also be waiting for my new gaming machine to come.
I think that shows how much i'm impressed with the game to go spending £1200 to play the game to its full potential.
